Course Format
- Series of 14 courses (7 full days)
- 2 courses a day (4 – 4 ½ hours each)
- Courses given in English and French
- Adult learning style courses
- Power point presentations
- Case studies and role play
- Videos
Expectations of students enrolled in course
- Be present at ALL courses
- Be prepared to study and do further reading of articles given
- MUST be able to read in English
- Spend at least one day at the Breastfeeding program, Herzl Family Practice Centre – JGH
- MUST have an email address
- MUST have a strong interest in breastfeeding and want to learn with an open mind and a willingness to try new experiences.

- Trial exam – simulation of real exam day
- Reference books are available to consult during courses.

- 50+ Lactation Education hours including Ethics
Course Fees (Registration fee $50.00 nonrefundable)
- $1500 ($1450 + $50 registration fee) – 14 courses and 1 day of clinical observation
- Or Payable in 5 payments of $290 – post dated cheques + $50.00 registration fee
- Payable by the date of the 1st course
- No reimbursement
- Arrangements can be made to make up courses that are missed (subject to availability).
